Retained Bliss

In modest beginnings of a homeowner sketch, this new construction design maximized the backyard through carefully designed retaining walls. Carving out areas large enough for an outdoor great room, along with kitchen and dining areas, the design became reality featuring a masonry wood burning fireplace, water feature, custom kitchen with bar, pergola covered lounge area, and spa. Throughout the design, the structural retaining walls are hidden in the background with an array of colorful plantings and textures. To top it all off, after the project was completed, the homeowners made the main window of their home larger to enjoy the view!
