A fairly tight space was predefined by the partial exposure layout of the home, including several windows challenging the creativity for a functional upper patio. With a bowed terrace wall, extra space was able to be achieved to include a small dining set as well as a built-in grill island. Natural lannon stone steps lead down to a gas fire pit. With a southern exposure, the pergola was introduced to provide some relief from the sun. In front of the home, the lengthy front walkway incorporates a seating area to break up the journey to the front door. Color selection posed for a difficult choice due to the variegated stone veneer on the house. Blending a touch of browns into the gray palette resulted in a perfect combination.
